Air Force (1976 - 1988)

I graduated from University of Maryland and entered the Air Force as a 2LT. While in ROTC at UM I went to Ft Benning, GA and earned my paratrooper jump wings.  My duty locations included: Hanscom AFB, MA; Yokota AB, Japan; Lindsey AS, W. Germany and Andrews AFB, MD.  I was a Contracting Officer (procurement) in my assignments except for 3 years in Japan when I was a Logistics Planner at HQ 5th Air Force.  I spent 7 years overseas in Germany and Japan which was the highlight of my military time because both jobs required extensive travel in Europe and Asia (as well as lots of fun travel on my military leave time).  I left as a Captain and have continued in the procurement field.  I've had civilian federal service jobs in procurement with the USAF, Navy, Marines and US Coast Guard where I currently work.
